Stefan Pichlmann was born in 1976 in Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria. At the age of 7, he started playing the piano at home, later continuing his musical training at Music School. Soon he developed a passion for songwriting and composition. He started performing as a band musician in the early 1990's. After earning his master's degree in biology (2003), he decided to focus on his musical career. Late in 2008, he joined SoundDiary as a keyboard player and composer.

Since 2015 Stefan also started an instrumental Solo-Project under the Pseudonym "maleFritz" and is about to release his 4th album "Loading..." in 2021.
